So here I find myself at Dreamwidth. I've heard a lot about it, but really haven't gotten a chance to explore it too much. I like that there are no ads, but I dislike how I only get 6 icons. I don't think that I'll be investing in a paid account quite yet, honestly. Currently, I am getting spammed with icons, as I have, unfortunately, lost all of mine. My external hard drive crashed a few weeks ago, and thus, I have lost all of my scans, icons, wallpapers, and AMVs, amongst other things. One thing that I am thankful for is that I transferred all of my music (which had previously been held on said external hard drive) onto my computer's physical hard drive. Now I'm thinking of perhaps making a backup of all of it, and keeping this backup up to date, considering the amount of music that I have. XD Nearly 5000 as of this writing, and only the oldest stuff is still backed up, from the last time that I reformatted my computer.

And now I'm a whole paragraph into this entry and I haven't even told you who I am. Haha. Some of you may know already, but to anyone new, hello. I am not a stalker, nor an assassin. This is not an RP journal, I just like the name. It is from what is still my favorite series, even after close to 5 years reading manga. I'm sure that I've read better things, but somehow, X/Tokyo Babylon continues to be my favorite. <3 And now in the paragraph to introduce myself, I still haven't. XD My name is Danielle, nice to meet you. Or good to see you again? I'm turning 17 in about a month, and I live in Canada Maine. I'm going to be a senior in high school this next school year, and then I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. Also, on Livejournal, I'm sakujosadame, a name that I don't use anywhere else. XD I'd like to rename, honestly. But alas, to what? You might also see me more likely as "xiscoolerthanyou", a username that is a remnant of an inside joke, and which sounds kind of ridiculous. XD But, you can catch me on AIM with that one, and also on hotmail. I've been in the process of thinking up a new, universal username for close to a year now, but I think that's something that should just come, and obviously, it failed. XD

My interests in fandom primarily lie in the anime/manga sector, honestly. I don't watch too much television (Just House, Dexter, and the Big Bang Theory, apart from the news, mostly), and I usually don't get attached enough to most movies to do much other than a random icon or two. That's mostly what I do, anyways, in my fandom activities, is icon. Most of my icons of late, however, were lost in the great hard drive crash of 2009, so. XD I suppose we'll just have to start from scratch? I might have a few on my laptop, but I had close to 700 anyways on my external. The good thing is, most of those icons were ugly as hell. I've finally learned how to shade and re-size properly, so hopefully the icons that you may see here from me will be nice looking and actually usable. I used to make wallpapers, but not really anymore. XD To see those, (all two of them that made it through Animepaper's screening, haha) check here. That hasn't been updated in awhile, but oh well.

Other than making icons, I've made banners, and I have a tablet. I'm attempting to use that table to learn how to draw properly. It was an impulse buy on my part, but I have fun when I draw, and isn't that the important thing? Well, I suppose you'll see what I mean if I ever post one of my masterpieces here. XD I've written fanfiction before, but it was never anything serious. It was probably OOC and terrible. The only thing that I think I ever posted other than in a meme was a drabble about Kusanagi and how he was being tortured by some sort of bonsai tree. So you can see how serious I am. XD I've also RPed, usually also not serious. Our X!Island RP was the longest lasting one and it was pure crack and I loved it. XD I got to play Seishirou, a character that I think I've played at every place that I've ever RPed. I have a major character bias, you see. I probably kind of suck at RPing too, but I have fun, so again, it doesn't matter to me because I like it. =D

I'm kind of a nerd. This should be evident by now. I also love history and solving physics problems. You don't know how depressed I was when AP Physics would not fit into my schedule next year. But still. I'm a huge procrastinator who still gets good grades somehow. I've gotten 3 Bs in my entire high school career, actually. The rest of the time I was a straight-A student. I'm not quite sure how that works. I usually am always on the computer when I'm home, and yeah. Like I said, procrastinator. I also still do Track and Field at school, even though I've grown out of liking it, honestly. But, I can just look forward to the fact that there's only one year left of it, and it will look so sweet on my college applications.

I also love music. You should see my iTunes library, like I said, almost 5000 songs. XD I also love to get new music. My favorite bands are Coldplay, Muse, and Three Days Grace. I also love Mindless Self Indulgence. My range of music tastes goes from Eminem to the 1812 Overture. That is, in fact, my favorite overture, after all. My favorite song, however, is Strawberry Kiss Kiss. You all should know that. XD I try to be funny, I'm sorry. Probably no one got that. I love books too. My favorite, well, I don't have one. I've finally gotten to the point where I like what they give you to read in school, and the best book that I've read lately was The Handmaid's Tale. I also liked Wuthering Heights, Brave New World, and Frankenstein. And yet, my favorite books ever are probably still Harry Potter. I'm attached to the old, what can I say?

Well, this is probably the longest post that I've ever had. Hahahaha. Don't expect anything this long again, most likely. I'm going to do my best to post separate things to Dreamwidth and Livejournal because I think that if I just post the same thing both places, then Dreamwidth, being the newer, will just get overlooked and be seen as redundant, as most of us on here are already used to Livejournal.
